Пост. в 1957 от С. Г. Троупянской, Ленинград
The painting is distinguished by its complicated composition that is expressed by a multitude of elements and details, and its active colour moments. In spite of the rich variety of trees, the artist is able to balance his entire landscape. The course of the river flows somewhere in the distance, taking with it the thoughts of a contemplative person, and delivering them to the calm of the vast blue expanse. This painting embodies the calm and tranquility of nature on an autumn evening.
