Historical gardens of Russia are diverse and versatile. Seeds of the European garden art thrown into the Russian earth have sprouted, having acquired their unique identity and reflected traits of authentic Russian nature, tastes of their creators and likings of owners, an imprint of cultures of various countries.
We attempted to unite Russian historical gardens into a whole entity, and the result was the beautiful mosaic. Our patchwork is created on the basis of charts for traditional English fancywork from colours used in historical gardens and parks included into the Association. Colours that emperors admired, colours that inspired poets and painters: colours that left a bright imprint in the Russian culture.
