Annotation

In the North of Russia, carpenters carved wooden toys out of logs during the hunts for sea mammals. Their toys are distinguished by their extremely generalised forms in their depiction of one of the main characters– the horse. Lightly trimmed with an axe, they retain the shape of a solid block of wood.
