Catherine the Great is portrayed in the brocade dress of the women’s Order of St Catherine that she, as Empress, headed according to its statute. She has the Order of St Andrew on a diamond chain around her neck, the star of the Order of St George (a gold diamond shape) and the 8-pointed star of the Order of St Vladimir on her breast, and the crosses for these orders on a sash over her shoulder.
