Dubovskoi was an extremely productive painter, and he painted the majority of his paintings in realistic manner characteristic of the Wanderers. The artist, however, created his own kind of landscape, one that is always laconic and simple. The space, light, and air are the components of the landscape by which his work is unmistakably recognisable.
