Lyubov Markovna Brodskaya (née Hoffmann) (1889–1962): Fabric designer, wife of the artist. Poetess. Moved to Moscow (1940).
Isaac Brodsky was awarded the title of artist for this portrait and Warm Day in 1908.
Brodsky, Isaac Izraelevich (1884, Sofievka, Tauride Gubernia — 1939, Leningrad)
Painter, graphic artist, teacher. Studied at the Odessa School of Art (1896–1902) and at the Higher School of Art, Imperial Academy of Arts (1902–1908). Fellow student of the Imperial Academy of Arts in France and Italy (1909–1911). Contributed to exhibitions (from 1904). Taught at the Ilya Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture (1932–1939, professor), director of the All-Russian Academy of Arts (from 1934). Honoured Artist of the RSFSR (from 1934).
