Everyone can have their own garden – that’s the view held by the authors of the eco-social project “Dacha in the city.”
There’s no reason why picturesque landscape compositions, created by the hands of St. Petersburg residents themselves, can’t spring up next to commonplace high-rise apartment buildings.
In order to inspire city-dwellers to create flowerbeds in their courtyards, the “Dacha in the city” project has initiated educational programs for all those interested. These include courses and master classes, excursions to plant nurseries and tours of the city’s “green” highlights, and educational picnics and Saturday-beautification activities at the Botanical Garden. “Dacha in the city” supports exchanging plants with one another and organizing joint planting projects – http://vk.com/dachavgorode.
A blossoming St. Petersburg is sure to delight city residents, boost everyone’s mood, provide inspiration to do good works and bring the generations together!
