Lilac Heaven

Annotation

Creator of the project and head designer: Irina Tuzova

The greatest joy in the end of spring and the beginning of summer is the blooming lilacs. The luxurious clusters of the blooming lilacs could not be imagined, they combine volume and form, the play of colors, and, most importantly, aroma! In a large industrial district like Obuhovo, this fragment of a fairytale looks like an unexpected gift to everyone who lives there or simply passes through.
Dark purple, snow-white, lilac, bluish, pink and mother of pearl lilacs. Both the classic Lemuanovsky and Kolesnikovsky breeds, as well as charmingly simple nameless ones bloom here, giving way to one another, and all of this against the backdrop of Petersburg’s white nights and under the song of Obuhovo’s virtuoso nightingales. This little province with its own heaven of lilacs and nightingales exists tenderly and touchingly in a great and austere palace city, decorating one of its less prestigious districts, making it romantic and truly humane. It would be so lovely if the lilac could become an indispensible attribute of our city, a distinguishing feature, our brand.
Long live the Lilac!
This landscape composition is a comfortable, elegant bench with a light-lilac back with a white color placed amid the blooming lilac clusters. Varying in colors, purple, snow-white, lilac-pink, they surround the bench like an amphitheater. The low railings on columns in the English style, placed behind the clusters, create a sense of remoteness and peace.
