Stroll before the Ball

Stroll before the Ball FLORA-POINT LLC

Annotation

Our landscape composition encompasses two features – a floral-adorned coach and a woman’s gown made of living flowers.
As the basis of our floral gown we took one of the creations from the Design House of the reknowned Nadezhda Lomanova (known according to other sources as Lamanova) – the official supplier of the palace of Her Imperial Highness.
Clothing is often referred to as “human architecture.” Lev Bakst compared the costumes and gowns created by our artists to architectural specimens, asserting that both arts are governed by identical rules.
Nadezhda Lomanova was a true artist. She dazzled everyone with her refinement, range and universality. She created designs for high-society ladies, famous actresses and average women with equal ease and love. To be dressed by Lomanova was considered highly prestigious. The gowns she created always stood out for their sophistication and refined taste. Lomanova’s supreme client was the Empress Alexandra Fedorovna herself.
The refined, sophisticated silhouette of the showcased gown transports us back to the age of grand balls, while the white and soft-pink color creates an atmosphere of celebration and ceremony!
